May 22nd - Wine 102 - Far Out Grapes from Far Out Places - 6:30pm Ok - so you know the basics. You can tell the difference between Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc and choosing a wine at your local store doesn't give you a panic attack. Now, it's time to learn more about those grapes you cannot pronounce and labels that are a mystery. We'll explore the next level of wine education and discuss, taste and review grapes like Torrontes, Grenache, & Tempranillo from places far away and some surprisingly close to home. You'll need a basic wine knowledge to get the most out of this class.

June 19th - Wine 103 - Food and Wine Synergy - Wine and Cheese Pairing - 6:30pm We LOVE cheese, but it's not always easy to find just the right wine (or wines) to create a fabulous party. This class will begin by reviewing the basics of food and wine pairing - we'll do some simple compare and contrast tastings and make sure you understand what to look for when you think about choosing the right wine for a great meal. Then, we'll break out the cheese - plenty to try - and match wines to make both sing. You don't need a ton of wine tasting experience to enjoy this class, but you might find a little background goes a long way.
